Set: Paz violin solo/Renholder, Thinking of You, Magdalena, 3 Libras (remix)/3 Libras, Brena, Orestes, Vacant (Tapeworm), Rose, Sleeping Beauty, Over, Thomas, Judith, Ashes to Ashes (Bowie cover), The Hollow.
What a great show! Sound quality definately wasn't a problem, and eveyone was at the top of their game! I was glad to have a seat away from the mosh pit -- I was in the seats to the side of the stage, on Paz's side. Paz had the biggest smile on her face during her opening violin solo. The bad came out on stage one-by-one, each getting a huge applause.
They all seemed to be having a good time on stage -- Billy, Troy, and Josh were seriously rocking out, Paz was hot (as usual), and Maynard seemed to be excited for the end of the tour (as he said, he hadn't really been home in about two years). Maynard did his "anal sex" speil, and apologized to Josh's parents, not because his "group anal sex" comment was offensive, but because "They're not invited."
Playing the name game again, Vacant was announced as "Fuck Brittney Spears (in the ass)," Judith was announced as "Going Back to Cali, Cali, Cali," and Ashes to Ashes was "Just Keep on Ticking."
Paz jumped out into the pit in the middle of Thomas! She almost made it back in time for when they bass comes back in, but missed the first few notes (and lost her shoes to the crowd).
I'd have to say the strangest part of the night was during Ashes to Ashes, when Maynard donned his blinking-light shorts, a person in a rabbit suit gets up on Paz's "violin solo" pedistal and starts dancing, and four Maynard look alikes (all wearing nothing but black speedos and wigs) run up towards Maynard on stage, and quickly disappear by songs end. Maynard commented that even he wasn't sure what just happened.
When he announced that The Hollow was the last song, everyone 'booed.' Maynard said "We don't have anymore songs! What, you want us to just write one on the spot?" Everyone cheers, and Maynard says then to pay up, what you think we do that kind of thing for free?
At the end of the song, the band went nuts. Billy, who'd been throwing out a few water bottles throughout the show, started chucking more out, apparently intent on getting one across the pit to the sound-guys. Maynard joined in too, and I think I actually got one over there. Paz gave Troy a big hug, then jumped on Billy's back, and rode around stage on him for several minutes (though this didn't stop Billy from continueing to chuck water bottles to the audience).
Overall, a great night. And the friends I went up with were particullarly happy, going home with "free" posters that they each were able to grab off the walls. :D Hope to see APC again next year!   - Travis
